Audi/VW AUX input connection to the multimedia system of equipped with the AMI/MDI media port. Audi A3, A4, S4, A5, S5, A6, S6, A7, A8, Q5, Q7, R8, TT and TTS models with AMI. Also fit for Volkswagen equipped with the RCD310, RCD510 and RNS510 radios with the factory MDI port.  AMI is located next to the CD Changer, or located underneath the center armrest. (A6, A8 in the glove box, Q7 in the center console).

This interface cable can be connected with your MP3 Player, Mobile Phone or any portable device with 3.5 mm jack audio output. The adapter transfers only audio content into the radio.  Devices connected can be controlled on the device itself, not by the OEM buttons.

After connection is done, the source to Aux mode (External audio input) will be come active.
